Ron Hofmann

Joining B|W|R in 1996, Ron Hofmann oversees a spectrum of corporate and entertainment clients, including brand integration, actors, authors, personalities, events, film festivals, networks, television shows, theater, consumer products and technology companies.
Adept in live theater, he has led publicity on such projects as Cavalia, De La Guarda, Rock of Ages, Forbidden Broadway and the opening of Magicopolis in Santa Monica. He currently serves as chairman of the board for the renowned theater troupe The Groundlings. In his previous seven-year post as vice president of Rick Miramontez Company, Hofmann oversaw numerous PR campaigns for such National and Los Angeles theatrical shows such as the world premiere of Sunset Boulevard (starring Glenn Close), Beauty and the Beast, Steve Martin’s Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Man of La Mancha (starring Raul Julia and Sheena Easton), the national tour of Will Rogers Follies, and Shakespeare for My Father (starring Lynn Redgrave) among many others.
His work in consumer products and brand integration includes oversight of the Lincoln car, the launch of Dr. Andrew Weil’s True Food Kitchen in Santa Monica, Netflix, the Palm Pre, absinthe Le Tourment Vert, Netflix,, fashion clients, Michael Stars, Western Chief Kids and Chooka boots, and jewelry company Stella and Dot. On the technology side, Hofmann currently represents (My Fashion Database), and launched social networking sites for Bode Miller ( and Jessica Biel (
He has overseen unit publicity on filmed entertainment for Sony Pictures “Soul Surfer” (2010-2011), for TV shows such as the launch of “Malcolm in the Middle,” “Lizzie McGuire,” “The Steve Harvey Show” and The Travel Channel’s “Made in America.” While handling such production/distribution companies as The Weinstein Company, Stone Village Pictures (“Love in the Time of Cholera”), itsy bitsy Entertainment (“Teletubbies”) and Scout (“Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”), he has also worked with producer Barbara Hall (“Joan of Arcadia”), cable startups Sí TV and TVG, and publishing companies HarperCollins (Lemony Snicket) and DK Publishing (Star Wars, Toy Story, Barbie).
He has handled entertainment events such as Live Earth, the Palm Springs International Film Festival, Maui Film Festival, Heartland Film Festival, Bangkok International Film Festival, American Medical Association Film Festival, the installation of The Bob Hope Museum of American Entertainment at the Library of Congress, HBO Comedy Festival (Las Vegas), and CineVegas. He has overseen publicity for tradeshows including the Nightclub and Bar Convention in Las Vegas, Art Los Angeles Contemporary, photoLA, photoMiami, artLA, and ShowBiz Expo.
Hofmann’s talent clients currently include Jason Alexander, James Woods, and Dana Carvey, Jon Taffer (star of Spike TV’s “Bar Rescue”) and Top Chef’s Stefan Richter (including his two restaurants Stefan’s at LA Farm and Stefan’s on Montana). He has worked in the past with such diverse talents as “Entertainment Tonight’s” Julie Moran, “The West Wing’s” Emmy-winning John Spencer, poker champion Phil Hellmuth, author Daniel Handler (Lemony Snicket) and martial arts star Sammo HungChairman

Nicholas Antonian

Nick Antonian, CPA, MBA is the Treasurer of the Groundlings. He is currently a Director at Marcum LLP in the Firm’s Los Angeles office. As a member of the Assurance Service practice and National Retail and Consumer Products Group, he works on the financial audits and reviews for multiple clients as well as mergers and acquisitions. His experience includes working with clients in the high technology, manufacturing, distribution, furniture, and retail and apparel industries and provides post-audit business consulting services including financial forecasts, advanced modeling and recommendations for operational efficiencies. Rick Davis

Rick Davis is a corporate transactional and litigation attorney for individuals and businesses, including performers, writers, production companies, and Fortune 500 companies.  His firm also serves as outside counsel to The Groundlings.

Lyric Lewis

Lyric Lewis is from New Orleans, LA and you may have seen her on: AP BIO (her super show on NBC- watch it!!!), BASKETS,  DRUNK HISTORY seasons 4 and 5, MADTV, THE GAGGLE, BROOKLYN NINE-NINE, GAY SKIT HAPPENS, and all sorts of other fun things!  You may have also seen her in the 2015 CBS Diversity Showcase, and she’s a dinosaur NUT! 

Michael Churven

Originally from Australia, Michael Churven came to America as part of the Australian wave in the early ‘00s and is thrilled to be a Main Company member at The Groundlings Theatre. His television credits include  MODERN FAMILY and Tru TV’s YOU CAN DO BETTER. He has appeared on Australian television in the series BUTTERFLY ISLAND and THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SKIPPY. Theatre credits include the Australian national tour of THE KING AND I and Open Fist Theater’s production of DELEARIOUS.

Ariane Price

Ariane Price is passionate about the energy that can only be experienced performing in and watching LIVE theater. Her book “The Amazing Ned” is soon to become a screenplay. Her blog “Tales of a Real Hollywood Mom” on is fun to read. She has happened to appear in numerous TV shows and a few movies. She’s the co-creator of the totally unique live talk show “Happy Hour” with alum Cheryl Hines, and cast mates Lisa Schurga and Lauren Burns. And because laughter is the best medicine, she’s also a doctor. 

Phyllis Katz

A pioneer member and former director of The Groundlings, Phyllis has enjoyed working in TV, film and stage as an actor, writer and director. Her one-woman show, "Katz: Music & Characters," won a Drama-Logue award for best performance; her play; "Codependently Yours," was an L.A. Weekly award nominee; and her first film short, "Shoedini," ran on I-film for a year with a 10 rating. She most recently appeared inReno 911, Strong Medicine, and the film Taking the Plunge and was the female lead on Showtime's cult comedy Sherman Oaks. As a songwriter, she co-authored three TV theme songs and the anthem for Project Literacy and was a regular contributor to FX's Son of the Beach. In addition to co-creating The Groundlings School, Phyllis does private coaching and conducts writing, character development, and song improv workshops across the country. She is a contributing writer for and her first book Hipwrecked: My Health Insurance Sucked, So I Went to India will be available this fall.
