Ana is best known for her incomparable work on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. During her six year stint, she created some of the most famous SNL characters, including middle school music teacher Bobbie Moughan-Culp, NPR radio host Margaret Jo, Lilith Fair poetess Cinder Calhoun, as well as spot-on impressions of Martha Stewart, Celine Dion, and Hillary Rodham Clinton. Currently, she can be seen on SUBURGATORY, and her other televison credits incllude THE GOOD WIFE, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, SEINFELD, FRAISER, NYPD BLUE, and THIRD ROCK FROM THE SUN. On film, she can be seen in MEAN GIRLS, WHAT WOMEN WANT, THAT'S MY BOY, and REEFER MADNESS. Ana is also highly involved in theatre, with credits including WICKED, THE THREEPENNY OPERA, GIRL CRAZY, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, THE ROYAL FAMILY, WRITING ARTHUR, PASSION, THE REAL LIFE BRADY BUNCH, THE ODYSSEY, and THE NOTEBOOKS OF LEONARDO DA VINCI.
Chris Eckert performed in the 2017 CBS Sketch Comedy Showcase and is the head writer for the 2018 showcase. Chris Eckert’s TV credits include RAISING HOPE (GLAAD Award), SUPER FUN NIGHT, THE COMEBACK, MAD TV, and numerous national commercials. He created the sold-out shows ‘YOU PAID TO DIE* TONIGHT’ (an LA Weekly top pick) and ‘THE GALE’ (a night of queer improv) for The Groundlings. Chris got arrested for stealing a Hanson CD when he was 16.
The Groundlings is an improvisation and sketch comedy theatre that has been entertaining LA audiences for over 40 years. We’re a non-profit organization founded by Gary Austin in 1974.
A “Groundling” is one of the 30 company members who write and perform in the theatre’s shows and teach classes at the Groundling’s School. Our school has been the foremost comedy training ground in Hollywood and the springboard for countless careers.
