Matthew Newman is a writer, actor, and comedian from a small town an hour outside New York City. He has a BA in Screenwriting from Emerson College and has appeared in numerous commercials for brands such as Super 8 Motels, SeatGeek, and Yahoo Fantasy Sports. His sketch comedy group Flambe Comedy! can be found on YouTube where it has amassed over 300k views and have been featured in Vulture’s “This Week in Web Videos” and FunnyOrDie.
He moved out to Los Angeles without a plan outside of fulfilling his childhood dream of performing at the Groundlings Theater, so being given the opportunity to perform on that stage every Sunday is legitimately a dream come true. As a die hard Mets, Jets, Knicks, and Rangers fan; this truly is the first win he has ever been able to celebrate. He wants to say thank you to his friends and family. Without their support, none of this would be possible. That being said, he is always in the market for new family and friends and would love to say hey after the show!
